Maybe OG Wasn't Joking Re the Redhead

Where is OG? Is he OK?

I share these thoughts, and might ask the same question of bfish too.

Old Guy is my favorite person on this forum, I love his witty sarcasm,

He's certainly right there at the top, not the same place without his participation.

He's in the Columbus, OH area, but I don't know what his real name is.

I think it's probably in best form and etiquette to fully respect member's privacy where real names and exact locations are concerned.

All that said, i must confess that i have a nagging little worry in the back of my mind that i may have genuinely pissed OG off with something i posted in a thread a while back.

Now, maybe(hopefully) i'm making a mountain out of a molehill and my post has nothing to do with his absence, and it's purely coincidental. The OG that i know is a pretty tough cookie, and i'd like to think that if he had a problem with what i said that he'd have called me on it either in the open forum or via PM because my post wasn't at all directed at him or any individual poster for that matter.

So, Old Guy, if you happen across this thread, and indeed it was something i said that has stopped you from participating here, please accept my sincerest apology.

Also, if indeed i had any influence on his absence, i offer my apologies to the entire forum.

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing. Old Guy is one of my favorites here too--when he chimes in on a thread with his two cents it's more like a dollar! He really knows his Altecs and speakers/sound in general and has always been very helpful and giving with his knowledge. I doubt if anything anyone said here is keeping him away--he always has had a thick skin and can dish it out as well as take it. I agree this forum isn't the same without him--I hope he's OK and back soon. IIRC, he had some health problems recently--if that's what is keeping him away I hope he's in better health soon. Let's hope "the redhead" just temporarily revoked his computer privileges (by "fixing" his computer with a sledge hammer) after he brought home a pair of A-2-X's and that he'll be back soon...... I agree that bfish's presence is missed here greatly too--that's a big loss to our forum if those two guys (or either one of them) don't return......

This is my gut feeling too. I'd expect a can of verbal "whoop-ass", and opportunity to learn something if it was something i said. But, on the off chance, i just wanted it out there. I have a great deal of respect for his experience and knowledge, and like the other posters here i look forward to, and currently miss his posts.

Ditto, plus this reminds me I haven't seen any PMs from him lately, which is unusual as he's usually a lot more timely than me in returning them.

Yes, I sent him a PM last week to see if everything is OK, and haven't heard back yet.....

I tried sending a PM to bfish the same day, but his PM feature seems to be disabled?

Dunno, we use PM email addresses. Just re-sent my 10-8 response to his 9-17 PM. With the kind of customer-no-service I often get with yahoo mail ever since AT&T bought them, he may never have got it.

His last activity was 3 weeks ago. I have his email and name, but no phone or address. I'll pop him an email.
EDIT: I do have his phone number. If I don't hear back from email, I'll call.
